Easter Activities At Home
Dear Parents/Guardians
Here are some resources that may help to keep everyone busy over the Easter break. We have checked out the attached resource links. However, we continue to seek your vigilance as you open these links.
At school the children have always been instructed to:
- Minimise the screen immediately
- Tell an adult if there is something inappropriate on their screen

Offline Activities to Keep you Busy:
- Bird watching: keep a record of all the birds that come into your (Draw pictures of the birds you see each day and maybe look up the name of the bird as well)
- Plant some seeds in pots or in a patch of the garden from all types of fruits of veg. e.g. peppers, kiwi, lemons melons, apples, water and watch them grow. (take photos and keep a record of the growth)
- Create a time capsule (fill it with newspapers, photos, letters etc., and hide it away in a closet or buried in the garden.
- Explore the world of google maps. Find your home, school, favourite spots
- With chalk draw murals outside. Or draw 8 square Hopscotch.
- Make homemade bubbles: 1 cup granulated soap or soap powder, 1 quart warm water, and liquid food colouring.
- French Skipping (can make your own with coloured elastic bands) Lots of different youtube videos on how to play/songs.
- Make up a fun song about the family (My name is Jim and I can swim, my sisters name is Kate and she likes to skate...)
- Photo shoot- put on funny clothes/dress up and take photos
- Play balloon volleyball
- Build an indoor or outdoor fort with sofas and some bed sheets
- Keep learning new card games or some new magic tricks
- Create a family tree. You could get all the family involved
- Host a picnic lunch inside or outdoors. (Plan and type up your picnic menu) take photos
- Make a paper airplane and test how far it can go
- Do a jigsaw: Time how fast you can do it
- Keep washing hands- make up songs to last the 20 seconds
- Make up/design a new boardgame
- Spend some time outside every day (Remember physical distancing).
- Put on your favourite song and dance
- Read a story to a sibling/pet
- Make up a wordsearch/crossword
- Build a tower out of cards. See how high you can build. Measure it!
And if you’re Really Bored!
- Tidy your bedroom
- Sort and pair up your socks
- Fold and put away your clothes
- Make breakfast for the rest of your family
- Walk/clean up after the dog
- Sort/tidy your toys
