Building Bridges - Engineering Week
During Engineering Week Room 14 explored and attempted to build bridges in our classroom. In doing so we used lollipop sticks of different sizes, PVA glue and masking tape.
Our class worked on this over three lessons where we experimented with bridge designs that made the structures more stable before settling on a design we felt would work.
Some children completed double decker bridges while others completed single level bridges.
There were feelings of success and failure throughout the process that helped in aiding all of us to develop a better perspective on the problems engineers try to solve every day.
