2024 FAI Primary School 5 Aside Girls Champions
Our 5 Aside Girls team: Trudy, Lou Lou, Hattie, Lucy, Freya, Alice, and Amy, did us proud yesterday in the Aviva.
They fought hard in their matches against the other provinces.
OLG vs Munster 0-0
OLG vs Ulster 5-0
OLG vs Connaught 1-0
This led to a 5-minute playoff with Munster ending in 0-0 draw. So next it was penalties, and our girls were superb. After the first 3 penalties it was still a 3-3 draw, so it was on to Sudden Death Penalties. Lou Lou sunk hers into the back of the net and then Trudy saved a wonderful strike to win us the Competition.

Our 5th and 6th classes were fantastic supporters in the Aviva stadium and witnessed the team of seven play their hardest games to become All-Ireland Champions.
It was a brilliant day and sincere congratulations to the 6th Class girls and their managers Tommy and Steven. Also, a huge thank you to Emer Ross for all her hard work in the background and to the Coaches: Tommy Hogan and Stephen Brady.
2024 FAI Primary Schools Girls Player of the Tournament
We would like to say a big congratulations to Hattie who won Player of the Tournament yesterday. She is a real team leader, always looking after her teammates and shouting positive remarks to them on the pitch. At the end of our match yesterday there was one member of the Munster team that was distraught and before celebrating Hattie immediately went over to console her and check that she was alright. Excellent player and brilliant Captain.
